We recently updated our cheap hotel lists recommended in Amsterdam and distinguished the following seven as our best cheap hotels in Amsterdam. It was not an easy task – Amsterdam fortunately still has a long list of large family properties in his city center.

However, these hotels below all are distinguished for their unique combination of an excellent location, low average rates, high user dimensions and enough equipment so that you are enough comfortable with your choice. Note that the rates indicated below were all found for stays from one to four months in advance. Another thing to note? Hotel rates in Amsterdam and through Europe have increased considerably in recent years. We have reduced the options that offer the best value.

You cannot sleep much closer to Rijksmuseum than the Museumzicht hotel (“museum view”). The hotel is a vintage cheap choice and is ideal for those who do not care that the hotel has barely changed since the 1960s. The 14 hotel rooms have been decorated in a grandmother way, with old oil paintings and ancient furniture (or simply “old”).
