He returns with us on his journey, his vision of music and his artistic commitment.
Actor, singer, model, dancer … You multiply the caps! When did you understand that art, in various forms, would be your way?
“It was my meeting with the dance that gave meaning to my body. When you are a child and you are born on the sidelines (it was born with one arm, editor’s note), you want to know why. Very quickly, dance made me a lot of good. I understood with her that my body was also a material, that it was going to be a tool, but also that it should not be stopped, that I should not be the victim of my physical state.
What step represents this new album in your life?
It is a great dizziness to offer the world its first album. I delivered it from my chest, on a tray. This album is the medium that will allow me to communicate my love in the world. Its necessity was to tell humanity how beautiful it is, to also point to what extent it is essential to anchor in the present and to take advantage of the moment.
We have the feeling that each song could be integrated into a film. Do you have a visual approach to your music?
Totally. I did not spend my adolescence in a garage to do rock with musicians every Sunday afternoon. For years, I have done theater, cinema, dance. So me, my imagination, it is filled with images, which necessarily impacts the writing of my songs. For example, for the single I don’t care if it burns, I had in mind a Romeo, who heard Juliette on the balcony. A scene that evokes the impossibility of certain stories. We have all fallen in love or in love with a person that we could not like. So I work from images like this to write my songs.
Do you see yourself as a standard bearer of love?
I would like to be the author of a manifesto of universal, eternal love, which would be the foundation of everything. It is good to remind our society. We live in a kind of circle, where we redo the same mistakes. Today, we are at war. However, at school, we were told that war was a bad thing, that it belonged to the past.
Love is the only sure value. I want to give him back her glory …
In reality, we have not learned. I have a lot of trouble with the fact that even today, we live conflicts. What happened? What is the meaning of all this? Should humanity really kill? That’s all I question with love. Because there is only this feeling that brings us out of us, which makes us accept us, which allows us to grow … Love is the only sure value. I want to give him back her glory! ”
