Is it an album born during confinement, when many ended up in their bubble, in the family for the most part?

In fact, during confinement, the idea of ​​the podcast came to me Love junglethat I finally launched last year because there were other projects in the meantime. This podcast was very inspiring to make the album, he inspired me several songs. So, somewhere, the confinement was finally providing some songs from the album … But the very theme of the family came later.

Does the album also coincide with your visit to the forties, a pivotal moment when we tend to take stock of the first part of his life?

No doubt. I feel like I was struck by obviousness, which I had never been sensitive enough to hear: it is time to enjoy life, to pick the present moment … I have never been too sensitive to all this. But with this album, and with everything that happens in my life, I feel more of the urgency of living. I even have the impression that this is what I prefer in aging, it is now to understand this sentence. In the song It’s timeI say that there is nothing more passenger than a blue sky. It is not trivial. I checked a few boxes in my life which allow me to say that the sky is blue, because I am happy with everything that happened to me. And today I can tell myself that I will enjoy life. I don’t want to do better, I want to be just me. As for the forties, I find that it is a great moment in life. In fact, there, I am very happy!

Toxic relations and domestic violence

You approach toxic relations in All your friends love it. A subject that was inspired by the podcast?

When I launched the podcast, I received lots of letters, from which I pulled themes: jealousy, crush, celibacy … but none focused on domestic violence. I found it impossible to talk about the setbacks of love without approaching this subject. So I turned to Doctor Gadha Hatem, who created the house of women, a medical and judicial structure. Often comes back the question of the role of those around them. We are often helpless when we are close to someone who undergoes domestic violence, because often, what happens to him is a question of grip. A grip that does not allow loved ones to have weight, to help … She told me that you have to stay nice, not to judge, you have to be present, let the person we are there, to listen to him, to speak to him, to support her … Hence my desire to make a song on the entourage.

I had never seen it too much like that, but I have the impression that to know that, in life, there are people who can say with serenity “I did my time, my life was what it was, I loved it and I am ready to leave”, it is very reassuring. In our society, dying is always perceived as a failure. While we know from the start that we are all going to die. So what is important is to have a good successful life before that. Perhaps by writing this song, inspired by the lyrics of an old lady, I realized that this is how, too, I would like to leave. But not now, I’m not ready (laughs)!
