Do you head for Rome and looking for a beautiful affordable hotel that will not leave your travel budget in ruins? As part of our cheap quest to find the best hotels on Europe for this year, we are delighted to list our seven best hotels in Rome.
The hotels below have been selected from our recommended hotel list in Rome. All these elements were visited and inspected by one of our publishers and chosen as “choice” according to the following criteria:
• Location: Can you easily reach most central sites in Rome on foot? Most of the large prints in the city are grouped in the historic center. Is it easy to get there from the hotel? Is the hotel easily accessible in Termini, the city’s main station?
• average rate: Are hotel’s prices a good deal? We are not just looking for the cheapest rooms in the city, but the best value. Compared to other hotels in the same category, does this hotel offer a lot? The average rate listed is compiled from the rates that we tested for a double room (with private bathroom) in May to August. Note that these prices will drop considerably during the dead season.
• Quality of service, rooms and amenities: Does the quality of the hotel rooms and services exceed those of the same category elsewhere in Rome?
• User note: How did former customers evaluate this hotel? What problems, if necessary, have previous customers with the hotel?
• “Something special”: Does this hotel offer something unique that helps it stand out from its competitors? This could be a super adapted owner, an extraordinary location or a cool story.

Quartier: south of Termini station
Middle double: € 108
This immaculate and friendly convent, located directly next to the Santa Maria Maggiore basilica, is paradise on earth for low-budget travelers who do not care about a curfew at 11 p.m. (or sleeping under a crucifix). The convent offers 45 small tidy rooms, which are all simply furnished and super clean.
The cheapest rooms have a shared bathroom, while those with a private bathroom have a bathtub or a shower (our price above is for a bedroom with private bathroom). Do not miss the roof terrace (see photo) or the breakfast room (included in the price of the room), which is garnished with a spectacular chandelier. Important: The guest house strictly applies a curfew at 11 p.m.

The Silla hotel is a soft and simple two -star hotel with some of the best prices of our Rome hotels guide. Its location in a quiet street offers a peaceful respite without sacrificing convenience, because the hotel is a few steps from the metro.
The rooms are warm and welcoming and decorated with red and gold. The comfort of creatures includes televisions, phones, internet and private bathrooms. You may have to pay an additional AC. In addition, an additional advantage of this hotel is that it is at the top of a popular pastry.

1 Pas de Saint Peter

Although this is not exactly a stage in the Saint-Pierre basilica, this comfortable hotel offers a privileged location, ideally located near the transit and only 15 minutes walk from St. Peter’s.
The staff are extremely warm and welcoming, and customers here can taste a free breakfast, common cuisine, buanders and coffee and complementary tea available all day. In addition, the rooms are air -conditioned and the bathrooms shared are impeccable.

We appreciate the ecological vibrations of the hive, an inn with shared and private rooms available at good prices, especially for the location near the Termini station. You will find a garden, board games on televisions, food for organic breakfast and for the most part, no air conditioning, in this place with a lasting mind.
The rooms have funky and unique conceptions, whether private or shared. All rooms have lockers or safes and toiletries. Two rooms have AC if it’s a must for you, just be sure to ask in advance when booking.

The friendly Marta guest house offers comfortable accommodation ideally located near the Vatican. Each piece has a unique style with ancient furniture and original tiled floors. Customers take advantage of air conditioning, televisions, mini-frills, minibars, coffee and tea, as well as free Wi-Fi and breakfast.
The charming guest house Marta can be difficult to find, so look for the address rather than a sign for the hotel. It is hidden in a side street off the popular Piazza Cavour.

The three -star Trastevere hotel has a charming location near Piazza San Cosimato, a great place full of sellers in the outdoor markets during the hottest months.
The rooms have standard hotel dishes but feel light and ventilated. They include everything you need for a house far from home, including private bathrooms, televisions, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Customers can also take advantage of the coffee and free pastry of the reception bar. If the room views are important for you, be sure to request a room on a higher floor.

The Panda is a budgetary option located at the base of the Spanish stages.

The hotel panda is a practical cheap market located in the heart of a region better known for its fashion stores than for its low -budget hotels. Basic, clean and welcoming, the two -star hotel is rightly a minute from the base of the Spanish steps.
The 28 rooms in the panda are tight and will not earn any prices for Flair Design, but they are comfortable and clean. Air conditioning is available during the summer months, and all parts have a TV, phone and free Wi-Fi.
