The artistic walks in the Mediterranean (BAM) celebrate the twenty years of Sète agglôpole Mediterranean, and highlight the riches of the historical and natural heritage of the Pays de Sète. Twenty works by contemporary artists will mark out by 2026, four courses designed in partnership with the Thau archipelago tourist office.
Soon, a free discovery application will be accessible to everyone to discover the works and the richness of the cultural, built and landscape heritage of the Thau archipelago, around the four artistic courses.
The first two works of artistic walks in the Mediterranean (BAM) were revealed to Poussan for André Cervera and at Sète, for the artist recognized by Françoise Petrovitch. Saturday, May 17, at Montbazin, Corsica Marzorati has been inaugurated. The multidisciplinary Argentinian artist produces poetic installations of Land Art, evoking the relationship with the environment. Freely inspired by the arcades of the Montbazin castle and the Saint-Pierre chapel, the three modules of the installation O’ssis Offer around the Mediterranean garden, a fresh shelter where life is good and rest. A merger between art and functionality, transforming a public space into a meeting and rest place.
Course Thau’s slopes From the Capitelles de la Garrigue via the Valmagne abbey or the Montbazin mill, this route will allow you to discover the architectural, vernacular and landscape heritage. Villeveyrac, Poussan, Montbazin and Gigean.
Course The ponds Alternating beaches, plains, garrigues, wood, vineyards and wetlands, this course is a natural invitation to delicacy. Frontignan La Peyrade, Vic-la-Gardiole and Mireval.
Course Thau shores From mosaics to the Gallo-Roman museum of Loupian to the essences of the ancient Mediterranean garden, the past of the territory is engraved in stone.
