The Karezza method, the art of caress without orgasm

The term Karezza comes from “Carezza” which means caress in Italian. And everything is in the name: this method is the mutual sharing of caresses within a couple.

A centenary method

In 1931, Doctor John William Lloyd already wrote a book on the subject: Karezza, the art of love. The way of sexual ecstasy. He explains that “nothing is as effective in preserving beauty, youth, love and the joy of life” as caresses. And this is not the first to evoke the practice: Alice Stockam, a famous 19th century gynecologist spoke of the subject at the time. By Karezza, she designated “art and method of controlled sexual relations”.

Boost its oxytocin level

Controlled? The idea is indeed to refrain from having an orgasm and enjoying common pleasure made of skin to skin. A great way to develop your sense of touch. In this practice, it is the time spent for two which is privileged. It also ensures a large production of oxytocin, the hormone of love, which strengthens the attachment link between the partners.

And in practice?

How is the theory but in practice, how is it? “Piano, piano…”, the best is to start slowly: caresses in the back and then explore the corners of the body that you do not know or very little. Do not hesitate to snuggle up against each other, to look at you and to exchange gentle gestures. Also put rules by explaining where you want to receive caresses or not.
